Waking up to my mum calling my name ever so sweetly,
Cat-fights and breaking into hysteria of laughter with sisters,
Abiding to dad's rules, knowing that he protects,
Smiling haphazardly while listening to grandma’s lectures,
Driving, blasting my favourite music and singing along,
Cooking with mum and asking stupid questions on purpose,
Getting spooked watching horror and laughing unnecessarily,
Snapping away pictures to seize the precious moments.
Having the best of time with valued friends,
Movies, bowling, swimming or just a lot of pangeys!
Dancing and jumping in joy when it rains,
Slipping under the blanket and having the best slumber.
Taking risks and not knowing whether you'll succeed,
Doing something out of the ordinary and being proud,
Scoring and meeting everyone’s and own expectations,
Dress to impress and poof.. ultimate confidence!
Loving unconditionally irrespective of the outcome,
Having heartbreaks and learning how to move on,
Hoping for the better with keeping the past in mind,
Looking forward to surprises the next day.
And here's to LIFE..
