The Road Not Taken (My Version)

I stand still, looking ahead,
Two roads diverge in front of me,
A left and a right but no straight,
Straight all I could is a huge fir tree.

Right, I said to myself,
It’s the time to choose again,
Legs are not gonna move by their self,
That’s when you come in, dear brain.

The left seems a lot greener,
Its path seems empty,
The right seems a bit meaner,
Mystifying yet it ain’t gonna be easy.

Not a single soul on the left,
Take it, and I’ll be forever alone,
Birds chirp and squirrels play on the right,
Take it, and I’ll be in the joys of my own.

The left road seems appealing,
With no curves nor thorns in its way,
A painless walk on the road of nothing,
But what if I got bored half-way?

Somehow, the right looks dangerous,
Would I make a fool of myself?
Getting lost among anonymous,
After which one would not be oneself.

Thought of abandoning and taking a u-turn,
But oh wait, what’s that light I see?
From the right road, argghh the temptation!
Something that I can’t disagree.

To be continued…

And That Has Made All The Difference"- Robert Frost.
